Jurupa Valley, Riverside County
Jurupa Valley became a city on July 1, 2011, when voters united Mira Loma, Glen Avon, Pedley, Rubidoux and several smaller communities. The name comes from Rancho Jurupa, a Mexican land grant of 1838. Many neighborhoods keep horses, and riding trails run alongside the streets in parts of the city.
